The main goal of PPC offers to generate more traffic, so advertisers may not even promote a specific product or deal. Instead, these companies are happy with increasing the number of visitors on their site, so you get paid by simply boosting their traffic and adhering to the offer requirements.
Third parties like Commission Junction, for example, manage thousands of brand’s affiliate programs that you can potentially sign up for. So, when I made a Commission Junction account, I browsed the different brands and came across Sportsman’s Guide, BruMate, Columbia, Academy, MooseJaw, and tons more. They even have brands like Angel Soft (yes, the TP), Walgreens, Sonos, TJ Maxx, Ray-Ban, Tire Rack, etc. SO MANY brands have affiliate programs!! You just have to take the time to look for them.

This is the one who acts as the intermediary between the affiliate and the merchant. If the affiliate doesn’t know any merchants that have an affiliate program, the network will provide it.
As an affiliate, you’ll receive a commission for every sale made through your recommendation. Each referral that converts means money in the pocket for you as the affiliate marketer. According to ROI Collective, “Affiliates are usually paid per an action (CPA) or per lead (CPL) per their agreement with the company.” However, some affiliate programs will also reward the publisher for leads such as website clicks, downloads of an app or free-trial signups.
Here's a screenshot from Offervault, a platform that lists CPA offers from different companies. Note that each offer also mentions the payout amount per lead.
There are some affiliates that pay way more than you can imagine. HostGator offers $65 to $120 per sale to its affiliates. Installing WordPress on any purchase will be a matter of just a few minutes. I guess, for a worth of $30 of time John Chow earns $120: a net profit of $90 per sale. Since John is an acclaimed WP expert and buyers are getting more than what they wished for, they opt for it.
This will help you build expertise at something you are already familiar with or willing to learn more about.
Instead of having to type an IP address – which is what identifies a computer/server on the internet and looks like a set of numbers (123.234.432.321) – your visitors type your domain name, like janesrowingsite.com.
Let’s say, 100 visitors convert, and they make a purchase with an average product price of $100.
