As I've already mentioned, affiliate marketing a vast field and companies from every industry are hiring affiliates to give more exposure to their products and services.
Literally anyone – that being said, even though anyone can start with affiliate marketing, that doesn’t necessarily mean that just anyone can be successful. Although it’s a source of passive income, it’s not enough to just create great content and hope for the best – you need to put in a lot of work to not only develop amazing content but also to promote your content and build up your audience; that means investing in search engine optimization, building up your email list and your social media followers/viewers and consistently find ways to grow and evolve.

This is particularly important for the influencer. There is no ideal amount of followers that one should have, but a “good” amount of followers to start with would be in the 5,000 to 15,000 followers range, or in engagement terms, receive at least a consistent 100 likes per photo, assuming that their fanbase consists of real people and NOT bots or paid followers. Even if an Instagram influencer doesn’t carry as big a following is others, the most important thing is for those followers to be actively engaged to the influencer’s content and page. These are known as micro – influencers or even nano-influencers (who have less than 5,000 followers) and they have great importance for a new startup product that might not be able to afford working with macro-influencers
If you’re just starting out and you have a specific brand in mind, just go to that brand’s website. If they have an affiliate program, there will be info about it somewhere on their site. Then from there, they’ll direct you to the third party who handles their program. The brand or third part handling the brand’s program will manage all of the content available to you to use (links, banners, etc.) and they also keep track of the commission you earn. They’ll direct deposit it into the bank account you choose to have on file.
