I consider myself a beginner, and after only four months of blogging, I was making over $1,200 a month in affiliate income alone. Michelle from Making Sense of Cents makes over $50,000 a MONTH in Affiliate Marketing. She is so amazing at it that she created a course that teaches how she did it. This course helped me immensely when I was starting out! Mike, from Stupid Simple SEO, makes over $95,000 a YEAR in passive income, using SEO techniques and Amazon – more on that later! 3. eBay Although not as popular as it once was, due to Amazon taking the lions to share of the e-commerce market, eBay still is an excellent program for affiliates.
The idea behind affiliate marketing is simple: you promote and sell other people’s products.
Affiliate income is the money you make from affiliate marketing. This is considered passive income, which means you keep making money after the initial work is done. Passive income can be earned while you’re sleeping, eating, on holiday, or even in the bathroom. You do not need to be active on your blog or social media to earn this type of income, which is why I really love it. You write a post about Product A and linked to the Brand’s product page.Reader XYZ reads your post and decides to buy Product A through the link you placed in your blog. After Reader XYZ completes his purchase of Product A on Brand’s website, Brand will pay you a small portion of what Reader XYZ paid for Product A.Brand knows how much to pay you because this link that Reader XYZ clicked has a tracking code that basically says, “Hey Brand. I’m again searching for something like this: “How to build a sales funnel” on YouTube itself.
You have to trade getting paid hourly for your work (instant gratification), for maybe getting paid months after you do the work (delayed gratification).

One affiliate program that’s worth highlighting is Amazon Associates. This program is an excellent place to start for those who are beginners in affiliate marketing. The Associate’s Program can be a simple way of monetizing your website. You sign up, receive approval, and go on to place Amazon’s affiliate links on your site. Once a visitor clicks on your affiliate link and makes a purchase, you will earn a commission from the referral. The Associate’s Program Commission Income Statement further describes how you receive a commission for qualifying purchases and what limitations might apply.
