I generally filter out all the products that have a Gravity score below 20. If something is below 20, that means that it’s not a good fit for our email list – the volume of sales are too low and the sales copy hasn’t been fully split-tested yet.
This is a great combination for beginners as they learn the ropes. Different affiliate programs might have different systems, payment rates, or details, but the system is basically the same. You make the sale, it gets tallied, and eventually the payment will come. Often 30 to 90 days down the line.

Once you know this information, it’s time to find some affiliate programs to join as a beginner. There are literally hundreds of thousands of companies that have affiliate products for you to promote on your blog.
Following that, you must choose the geographical area in which you want to advertise. Again, you can make it as wide or as narrow as you want.
As I’ve mentioned at the beginning of this paragraph, there are many different types of affiliate marketers in the world. People tend to choose the type of marketing that suits them the most. It depends on your geographical location, initial investments, marketing background, and so on. However, the most important factor out is audience size.
As you can see in the above image, the first two results are for a promoted ad by affiliate marketers. Rather than focusing on content marketing, search affiliates will drive traffic to their landing page to promote an offer. Here is an example of that if we click on the first ad shown above:

And hey, luckily for you, many bloggers use Pinterest the wrong way! They underestimate its power and use it as a social network, although it’s a search engine.

If you have a blog or website, it is possible to form an affiliate relationship with a retailer either through an affiliate network or by working with them directly.
There is a lot of work up front to get started with affiliate marketing but this is one of the best ways to create long-term passive income.
