With affiliate marketing, you earn a commission when you recommend a product or service from someone else to your visitors. Typically, the process goes something like this: You recommend a product/service on your website using a special link.Visitors click that link to learn more about that product/service.If they convert, you earn a commission for recommending them.

If you are running an Instagram account and want to start earning money from your account, affiliate marketing is a great option. Here are some of my favorite tips: Use your affiliate links in your bio or within a linktree or similar platform to share multiple.Use your stories to ask yes/no questions about whether someone is interested in something and then respond to the yes answers with useful info and your link.Work to get to the 10k mark so you can use the “swipe up” in stories where you can include affiliate links.Use / show / review items and tell the viewer where the link is to also get the item (bio, swipe up, etc.)
Commissions differ from program to program. Many range from 5% to 8% of the sale but it just depends on the price range of the product. For example, Bluehost (a website hosting platform) pays $65-75 per sale. I’ve had 3 people purchase hosting through my Bluehost link this month so far. While $225 may not seem like a lot, that’s $225 I didn’t have before and I call that a win. So just think, what if I had a 100 people purchase hosting through my link in a month… So here’s what most people won’t warn you about. It’s not that big of a deal but I want to be as transparent as possible. You may not be accepted into every affiliate program you apply for, especially when you’re first getting started. Some are easier to get into than others.
If you allow affiliates to use their own landing pages, which is rarer, work with those affiliates. Share your own testing insights. After all, everyone is working toward a common goal.
Now, you may find this a challenging step, but you should not get rattled. An important aspect of affiliate marketing is blogging.
The uniqueness of your blog content will certainly make you stand out. Thus, establishes trust in your blog.
An example of a referral program I promote is Robinhood. They do not have an affiliate program but when I refer people to Robinhood I get a free stock and the new person signing up get a free stock.
Every affiliate is assigned a unique link by the merchant to track who is responsible for each sale. A small data file called a cookie is stored on the merchant's device whenever someone clicks that link.
Just like affiliate marketing, influencer marketing has been ruling the digital world for some time now.

I only promote products I have tried and love. Depending on what you are promoting, I would suggest doing that. If it’s for things you are unfamiliar with like Amazon products, I would disclaim that you yourself haven’t personally tried the product but maybe it got great reviews. Hope that helps! 🙂 Hi, I’m Sasha, an Online Blog and Business Marketing Strategy Coach for Women Entrepreneurs
